Terms and Conditions of Order
COVID 19
Collection and delivery will be non-contact on the door step. If my household needs to isolate, I will find a suitable cake maker as a replacement or a full refund will be given.
Our cakes are made in a 5* hygiene rated kitchen and thorough and regular cleaning precautions are taken for every order.
If, as a direct result of a national Covid lockdown, your event or wedding is cancelled, every effort will be made to secure availability for your new date, or a full refund will be given.
Bookings and Deposits
Bookings should ideally be made a minimum of two weeks prior to the date of cake collection/ delivery.
The deposit is 50% of the cake price (for wedding cakes £100) and secures your booking. The booking is secure once the deposit has cleared.
If a cake is ordered less than 1 week before the collection/delivery date, then the full amount needs to be paid.
Final payments
The final balance is due one week before your collection/delivery date (1 month for wedding cakes) No reminders will be sent, it is the responsibility of the client to ensure payment is on time.
Late or Non-Payments
Late or non-payments may result in the loss of your booking date. In this case, the order will not proceed until payment has been made.
Cancellations
Please make cancellations in writing.
For cancellations, the deposit will be retained.
For wedding cakes, less than two months: 100% of total cost is payable.
For celebration cakes, less than 1 week: 100% of the total cost is payable.
Changes and Alterations
Changes to the cake and its design can be made up to 2 weeks prior to collection/delivery date (up to one month prior for tiered/ wedding cakes). After this time, no changes can be made.
Refunds
Due to the bespoke nature of the product, regretfully no refunds can be made for cakes with issues entirely the fault of Sweet Peach Cake Studio, unless the cake is returned. If the cake is served, no refund can be given. Additionally, no refunds can be given for cakes once past their use by date, or for cakes stored incorrectly. Storage advice and use by dates are given on collection.
If, for unforeseen circumstances, I am unable to carry out an order, a suitable cakemaker will be found, or a full refund will be given.
Delivery/Collection
On the day of collection, please collect at our pre-arranged time. Should you wish to change the collection details we will do our best to accommodate this but cannot guarantee availability.
Cakes should be inspected on collection/delivery to ensure they are in good condition and undamaged.
Once collected, the responsibility of the cake rests with the customer, and any damages ensued once it has left the premises, i.e., through transportation, is the responsibility of the customer. We will package the cake appropriately and advise on the best transportation methods.
Transportation
We recommend you transport your cake either in the footwell of your passenger seat or securely in the boot of your car (as such where it cannot move freely around). Additionally, a cool, air-conditioned car is recommended.
Storage
Buttercream cakes should be stored in the fridge, and brought up to room temperature 2-3 hours before consuming.
Fondant cakes should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct heat and sunlight.
Once cut into, please store both types of cake in the fridge and covered in clingfilm, and consume within 2-3 days.
Alternatively, your cake can be wrapped carefully in clingfilm then foil and frozen for up to one month. Please defrost thoroughly before consuming.
Allergies and Free-From
Where requested (and in writing), cakes will be made free from the stated allergenic ingredients.
We take allergies extremely seriously, and whilst cakes may be free from dairy, egg, soya or gluten/ wheat ingredients, they are made in a home kitchen which handles all allergens and therefore we cannot guarantee against traces of cross contamination.
In addition, whilst an ingredient used may not contain the allergen in question, please be aware that its packaging may state “may contain…” or “made in a factory which handles…”.
It is the responsibility of the client to ensure guests are aware of necessary allergy information.
Reduced sugar / low sugar cakes: whilst these cakes may contain less sugar or less refined sugar, it is the responsibility of the consumer to ensure their own health, i.e., if diabetic and require a low sugar diet.
All cakes come packaged with allergen information stating which allergens the cake contains.
Please note that our cakes are not suitable for nut allergy sufferers or those with severe allergies or severe Coeliac disease where potential cross contamination may pose a serious risk, however we can happily recommend other providers
